Emmett walked out of the back room, four bottles of oil in his hands. He was in black slacks that were tight over the best ass I'd ever seen. It surpassed even the asses of Rugby players, it was that round and muscular. He had a white dress shirt on, the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. There were celtic knot serpents down his arms, the heads just an inch above his wrists.

"I clean up nice, don't I?"

Emmett gave me a wink before setting his bottles down on a metal cart and rolling it over. "I'm glad you took my recommendation. I can assure you, this will be the highlight of your day."

This was going to be torture. My fiance was paying this god of a man to touch me and it was limited to my feet. I couldn't do anything but look at Emmett, frozen like a deer in headlights.

"Don't worry Rosie. I will take good care of you. I would never hurt you and you'll leave me and my talented hands feeling limp and content."

As we neared them, I grinned and watched as he got the bartender's attention. When he turned to face his friend, I noticed that his eyes were the strangest shade of blue-green. And I could tell from the set of his jaw that he was a serious man, probably a deep thinker. Maybe even overly analytical.

At that point, we'd closed the gap between us and them. Without checking with Kate—mostly because I knew I wouldn't need to—I addressed him playfully.

"Hey, think you can get her attention again? Apparently she likes brunettes with dimples, so I'm not her type."

When he finally looked me in the eye, I can't lie.

I melted a little.

There was something so solemn about him, but I could sense that there was also this ... something else. It peeked out at me from behind his eyes. Whatever "it" was seemed hidden, shy, as though he never paid it any attention. It had probably been dormant for many years—hell, maybe his whole life.

As soon as he'd started in about work—at a bar, no less—I'd known my suspicions were correct.

Emmett needed to learn how to live a little, let "it" out.

I had to smile at his enthusiasm, but I didn't think I should agree without checking with Edward. "I have to ask him. I can't do it if he doesn't want me to."

"You could so," Emmett contradicted. "But he'll agree. For one thing, he wouldn't want to listen to the names I'd call him if he refused."

"Very mature, Emmett," I said dryly.

Why Em is so great -
Not only is he his good natured, loyal to his family and sinfully sexy self - HE IS A DEPUTY - that's right, law enforcement. Oh and I wouldn't bring anything other than good ol' american made beer when you come for a visit, Em's very particular on what he keeps in his fridge.

"As much as I would love to stay here all day, I'm going to be late for work." I extricated myself from my sexy wife's arms and tried to roll out of bed.

"Screw work." Rosalie tackled me, throwing her whole body on top of mine to stop me from rolling over. She straddled me, and her hair tickled my neck as she leaned over me to kiss me. "Come on, baby, how about some morning love?"

"You know I'm working on an important case, Rose." I would have gone on, but Rosalie's lips trailed down my chest and kept going. I couldn't take my eyes off her beautiful blond head. I was an insanely lucky man.

"I know. You've been working weekends for the last month. And I really think we need some time alone." Her tongue darted out, flicking out along my erect dick. When she took me in her mouth, I gave up. Fiery meteors could have been flying all around us, and I wouldn't have noticed, not as long as she kept me in her talented little mouth.

And then I heard a sound I couldn't ignore, as much as I wanted to. It was the pounding of tiny feet in the hallway.

This is the worst flooding Tennessee has seen in decades. People are without food, water, shelter or the hope of any of those things to come soon.

He was big, no doubt. It was pure muscle though. .God. Being low to the ground, I watched as his feet approached, and my eyes drifted upwards, over his tan legs, noticing how they flexed with each step. Just above his knees, his legs disappeared under the cover of his shorts. My eyes drifted up further and stopped just a bit too long at a bulge below his waistline, surely he must've been wearing a cup. That was too much bulge. Right? I caught myself staring at his crotch and forced myself to continue upwards; I noticed how the shirt hung freely around his midsection, no hint of belly. It clung to his shoulders and chest, the Dartmouth logo darkened by his sweat. My eyes finally swept up to his face.

His full lips curved upwards into a smile. Dimples adorned his cheeks which were covered by his afternoon stubble. His eyes were the most magnificent oceanic blue.

Bella shoved the DVD back on the shelf forcefully. "Emmett, do you want to be scary? Or do you want to be cuddly? You can't be both."

"But you just said that bears are cuddly, but can be scary sometimes. So which one am I?"

"Which one do you want to be, Emmett?"

Emmett frowned. "With you, Bella, I want to be cuddly. Bears are cuddly with their family, and you're family."

He wore jeans, a blue plaid short-sleeved button down and he had head full of curly, dark hair. From where she was standing, he was well over six feet – and built. Broad shoulders, narrow waist…her eyes drifted from feature to feature until she finally made her way back up to his face.

"Stare much?" he asked.

Bella liked the way that he had a habit of absently scratching at his ear and blushing when she talked about his accomplishments. She could tell that he hadn’t lost his football physique and it was impossible to miss how his size and stature where part of his personality. His voice was low and soothing and it had a kindness to its timbre that she thought really didn’t fit his appearance at all but felt like she could listen to for as long as he chose to speak to her.

I wanted to laugh – how exactly was I supposed to respond to that? – but then he was making ridiculous plane noises, twisting and turning the edge of the cookie until it was right at my mouth. I opened up and took a bite, all too aware that his hand was gently cupped underneath my chin and his eyes were focused on my mouth.

"Mmm," I hummed dryly.
